My Attempt
In my opinion this piece did not come out the way I had wanted it to. Especially due to the fact that I was trying to figure out how Agnes Cecile paints. Due to this coming out the way it did I am going to attempt this agin but with an image of myself. I am going to make sure that I leave some negative space without paint as I think that it is one of the main reasons Ceciles pieces stand out to me so much.

My Research Page
I am going to be creating more graphite drawing along the same line as this one to sit alongside the watercolour paintings that I am going to be doing. I think that the mixture of graphite and watercolour painting go quite well together as they both are very different allowing them to contrast and compliment each-other. I will be taking inspiration from Brian Froud for this as I want my pages to look busy and I will accomplish this by overlapping my drawings and the type of my book.

Figuring stuff out
Poisonous things research- info to be used about the individual pixies in book.
The research that is shown here will be what my illustrations will be based on. I will be taking aspects of the species and combining them with a portrait. This will allow mwe to be able to create portraits and expand my knowledge and skills in capturing the female portrait as well as painting different species of fungi as well as flora, this making me learn more about not only using a reference for the sake of making a copy but in my style but changing it and adding aspecta of natual life.
The written research is to be used in the writing that will be going alongside the illustrations that I will be creating based on the species.

Death Cap Mushroom
For this drawing I was trying to experiment with different colours to see which would become the best outcome when creating the watercolour version.
Since experimenting I have decided that I am going to go with the one that is mainly red around the face and leave the exterior to the more green colours, this representing the mushroom better than having the piece being monochrome. I think that this would be the best one to translate into a watercolour paining as it would allow me to keep the complimentary colours separate which is what I am going for since I don't want my colours to get muddy in the process.
This isn't a definite though as when I get into a painting I will get into a rhythm that will help me make decisions.

Fly Agaric
I think that this drawing would amazingly translate into a painting however it does not give the message I would want the rest of the poisonous species to portray. I want to mushroom to be a part of her, I will however keep some of the aspects of this drawing into the one I will be doing for the fly Agaric mushroom.

Typeface Research
I am going to be taking inspiration from the Alice Oseman comics Heartstopper. Having the type being a handwritten typeface makes the comic seem more personal, almost giving the reader a more genuine connection to the story as it seems more familiar.
I wanted to research into different typefaces to go with my work but as I have been creating the portraits I have decided that it would be more benificial for the aesthetic of my work. This would make the most since there is a dark theme to my work and I want to portray that that the person making my book is going slightly crazy and in my opinion having these be a more handwritted typeface makes it a bit more sincere.
Due to unfortunate event I have ended up having to use a typeface i have found through research instead. The typeface I ended up going for the typeface Rock Salt
